Here are some more of my animal & wildlife photographs for you to enjoy. As you can see, you don't have to be in the wilds of Africa or the mountains of the Rockies to get some interesting photographic images. On the contrary the photos are often on your doorstep, which is why I always keep a camera with me whenever I'm out and about.

It's been a busy start to this Devon photographers Autumn . It was back to Ontario, Canada in August and September of this year again where I had some great opportunities of photographing the early Fall colours of the Sugar Maples (Acer Saccharum) of Northen Ontario, which as usual went beyond breathtaking and into the incredible. Saskatchewan was typically all sky, as its Canadian name, "the land of the living skies" implies. No animals though this time. Back home her in Mid Devon, our old friend Frank the Pheasant: - (Phasianus colchicus or the Common pheasant if you come from Devon, who's a big a male) has made another appearance back in my Devon garden in Winkleigh. This time he's proudly sporting two young male offspring pheasants who he is showing the ropes to and has even brighter plumage than he had last year - if that's possible? Frank the pheasant certainly hasn't forgotten that he is king of this devon castle either and after making his rounds of the garden each morning, which he sees as his own territory. He still loves to climb up onto the picnic table and preen himself whilst keeping a watchful eye on the 15th century All Saints Church which dominates the village skyline of Winkleigh, I suppose that's just in case there happens to be a shotgun toting farmer up the Church tower intent upon bagging a fat Devon pheasant for Christmas!
As you can see from the photograph below, Frank the pheasant has found a new place survey his territory. From in the Devon granite birdbath!

Black Aussiedoodle - the Aussie-Poo
Mr Aussiedoodle! What a great name to choose for a breed of dog which really is just a cannine yuppie accessory from Australia called the Aussiedoodle! The black Aussiedoodle puppy dog (above) was certainly a dandy pup. Bigfeet for swimming and big eyes for the sympathy vote. He gets his doggie attributes from his forefathers of course who were a Poodle and an Australian Shepherd dog, thus the 'doodle.' from the Poodle! Aussiedoodle is almost a perfect name for the dog himself when you look at the photograph. This particular photograph was taken on a Sunday morning trip to watch the Gig racing near Falmouth in Devon and as far as this Aussiedoodle 's concerned, this unnamed black Aussiedoodle puppy is a bit of a yuppie puppy dog himself !
